Wastefile UK team climb to new heights for charity
Staff at Wastefile UK are preparing to tackle a challenging charity event.
The Three Peaks Challenge, organised by the Fire Services National Benevolent Fund (FSNBF), will take place on 17th-18th June and will see the team of 6 hiking up Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon all in 24 hours. The challenge will test team spirit, determination and fitness.
"Not only is this a great opportunity both personally and as a company, combining teamwork with stunning scenery and a tough physical challenge, but it also allows us to make a difference in contributing to two worthwhile charities." says Chris Holliday, Team Organiser.
We will be raising funds for Hope House Children's Hospices and the Fire Service Benevolent Fund.
Hope House provide respite care and support to local terminally ill children and their families, and rely almost entirely upon voluntary donations to maintain running costs of £3.5million each year.
The FSNBF provide a range a of services that enhance quality of life for serving and retired Fire Service personnel and their families, including provision of retirement accomodation, recuperative facilities, rehabilitation and therapy and financial support for those in need. These services provide support when they need it most, enabling them to get the most out of life.
We would like to invite support for our cause, and would gratefully accept any donation. For more information on how you can support the Wastefile UK team please contact Caroline Holdway on 01952 292000.
