Wates win recycling award

Congratulations to Wates, who were awarded the Sims 250 Award at the national recycling awards in November, for demonstrating an exceptional commitment to recycling and waste reduction.

Wates, who have turned to Wastefile UK to successfully manage their waste since 2003, launched Target Zero across the company to address recycling policies and procedures, which has included waste training, development of Site Waste Management Plans and detailed waste reports.

Barratt Homes were also a finalist in this category, for their plasterboard recycling scheme, which was developed and implemented in partnership with Wastefile UK.
