The Regulations

Site Waste Management Plans come into force on 6^th April, and apply to all projects with a value of £300K or more, with additional requirements for projects above £500K. These must be produced before the project starts, with the only exemptions applying to projects planned before the 6^th April, to start before 1^st July.

The Environment Agency and local government or council enforcement officers will enforce these regulations. Anyone found guilty of an offence will be liable to a fine of up to £50,000 on summary conviction, or an unlimited fine on Indictment.
